COVID-19 update
It is not yet clear when we will be able to start running voyages again, but we would like to encourage bookings as much as possible so that as soon as it is safe to sail again, we can get as many young people as possible on board. We realise that the current uncertainty makes it difficult for people to plan, so we can announce that from 20th March 2020, any NEW deposits received for voyages will be held and if your chosen voyage is unable to go ahead, you will be able to transfer that deposit to any suitable later voyage, even if that happens to be in 2021, and if this proves completely impossible, your deposit will be refunded in full. This means that you can book voyages now with complete security.

Voyages marked * are OPEN NOW for individual bookings (as opposed to organised groups reserving the whole boat for an exclusive voyage). However, because we offer places across a very broad range of ages (11-25) and abilities (from novice sailors and individuals with special needs through to extremely capable and experienced young sailors), it is clearly not ideal to have people from both ends of the spectrum sailing on the same voyage. Some voyages for individuals have therefore been roughly divided into two broad categories:

EITHER: voyages aimed at younger crew members and those new to sailing and wanting a gentle introduction, or anyone less confident for any reason

OR: confident and capable individuals who would like a slightly more challenging adventure and more responsibility

This may not always end up being a perfect split as some people are only available for one voyage and don’t have any choice, and we don't want to exclude anyone who is happy about the nature of the group they are joining (sometimes one or two older competent sailors can be a real asset and a support to people who are younger and more nervous, and sometimes a younger crew member is fully ready for a real adventure) but as far as possible we are directing people to join the most suitable group.

Where voyages are NOT marked *, the nature of the voyage has yet to be decided and it will depend on demand. They may be open to organised groups or to individuals, and we are still open to ideas about age range or ability level. Please email for more information if you are interested in one of these voyages or would like us to contact you once the nature of the voyage is clearer.

Please note that while all these voyages start and finish in the UK, we may still visit other countries (generally France). Passports and any necessary visas will be required, unless it is specifically agreed with a client that a particular voyage will be UK-only. This is normally straightforward with group bookings if a client chooses to remain in the UK; but mixed individual voyages are more likely to require passports as it can cause complications if the weather is perfect and most of the crew are keen to sail cross-Channel but are prevented because just one person has no passport!
